We turned into Frenchmans Creek and then bumped the centaur into the creek - I dropped the anchor and then we took to the dinghy to travel as far up as the overhanging trees allowed us to go
What a beautiful part of the world
How do you get Maggie in and out from Centaur to tender then back again?
Good to see a junk in your photos !
(e) A vessel of less than 7 m in length, when at anchor, not in or near a narrow channel, fairway or anchorage, or where other vessels normally navigate, shall not be required to exhibit the lights or shape prescribed in paragraphs (a) and (b) of this Rule. You could argue this, your waterline is less than 7 Metres. ;-)

On the subject of dogs sailing,Rutland does not allow Dogs in the club premises,or afloat?
Re picture of Lilly M anchored at mouth of Frenchmans Creek, try searching on Google for Percy ‘Powder’ Thurburn (don’t you just love those old nicknames) Fascinating info about the marine artist and adventurer who ended up sailing his boat “Iron Duke” up Frenchmans Creek where I believe the hulk still rests. He and his partner bought the land, built a house and 20 years before his death in 1961 gifted it to the National Trust. I read all this whilst waiting in my GP’s surgery so it must be true!!
