Best film of the lot… you were in a dreadful rush though – missed an opportunity to explore a huge harbour, with just as many inlets, and hidden channels as the east coast… :o)

    I know, I know

going to re-do this section with the HD camera – at the time I thought I would get around in two seasons… I had a proper job, proper cash flow. I can’t believe hoow frightened I was at the time. A lot of water under the bridge since then. I am a different bloke.

    Hi Dylan,

It was good to meet you yesterday evening, and thank you for your excellent talk.

I asked on the Achilles Flickr site for someone to measure the well on the A24, and a friend came up with a depth of 14 inches from cockpit sole to bottom of hull. You need to add a further 4-5″ for the clamp board above the cockpit floor.

We tend to use long shaft engines, but when our 4hp Mercury wouldn’t start we have used the 2.5hp Suzuki short shaft we reserve for the dinghy, just to get on and off the mooring. Any other manoeuvring with the small o/b was impossible.

Thank you also for the DVDs; they have been confiscated, but I suspect they have gone to the Christmas fairy.

    Regards

    Rod Holliman
