Hmm, you left out folding knife, personalised mug, rugged beer mug, barbecue, apron, ear/nose hair trimmer, if not yet the soon you’ll get the key fob with grandchildren pictures in it, phone with big numbers, album from some forgotten sixties band, own brew kit, extra long shoe-horn, marmalade…. the list goes on.
    But I’m not bitter. Bastards!
The torch is nice looking, but it isn’t long enough to swing nicely and finish off the summer’s mackerel. Luckily you’ll have a feeble old man’s multitool with a mini hammer attached for that….

Not wanting to advertise one of the big boys unecessarily but its better than us MOBS receiving useless gifty clutter or not fit for purpose tools, but ……… Amazon do a convenient lttle package where you can have numerous wish lists where you can restrict viewing to friends and family most likely to not understand what a MOB would really be happy with.
I have two lists, ‘Under £20’ and ‘Anything goes’. These get regularly updated and sent out just before important man events, Fathers Day, Birthday, Christmas and of course Browny Point Day(s) Means you can avoid the ‘Aw thats nice dear just what I really wanted smile!’

Believe it or not I have several decent size ‘Man Sheds’ on my ‘Anything goes list’ just so that the Missus can think she is choosing one from three. hahaha……………. Still waiting though :-(

Nothing wrong with Amazon or Google – their products and services are amazing. It is their unwillingness to shoulder their fair share of the tax bill that is a bit naughty.

I am afraid that I sometimes find myself looking at flat pack sheds

some of the ones I have looked at have three rooms, a verandah and a wood burning stove.

I think that is the one that will be right for the project. It will have to wait for a while though.

Nice shed, its going on my list, never thought I would see the day when a shed is designed specifically to get my pram dinghy in and out with such ease. With this I could let my garden gazebo blow away and still get the varnishing done out of the rain! Would be a nice finish too.

There is even space to sit out under cover drinking a beer while Mrs D sands down the old varnish

I would like three of them in a sort of U shape facing south

one to think in, one to drink in and one to put the dink in

I love my Mrs D, we have a perfect relationship….. I dream and start projects and she puts in the hard work and finishes them, Its truly excellant that we both enjoy boating too so that when I need to recoat the hull she can do the keel while I do the sides. I wish that we could buy blond coloured antifoul though, the blue always shows up in her hair!

I think the card reads ” (if, or) when I see the sea, I don’t want any more sea” or ” when I see the sea, I don’t want more ocean”. Wenn translates as “when” but also as “if”
