Hi Dylan That cat must be lighter than it looks..I agree Honda Need to look at those engine problems you mentioned in your previous blog..Also like to thank you for converting me from power to sail.Saving me money to keep sailing….Thanks Ray

Great of you to bring attention to Miss Cindy — among multihull circles Tony is a legend (well in North America anyway) as a clever designer, consummate builder, and well an unstoppable guy – as his travels so attest.

I can heartily recommend reading all of his adventures – both the boat design/build and his travels. Three cheers for Tony Bigras

I was especially awed by his taking Miss Cindy across the Isthmus in his own way.

All good adventures for the winter reading season

Just been reading all about Tony Bigras , defiantly the real deal, a really interesting boatbuilder , designer and sailor.
One of his previous boats was a 50′ aluminum cat he designed and built himself including the welding in a field in western canada. And a very professional job it looked too. See here. http://ideaintegrator.com/boats/o7/o7.htm
It seams he comes up with a cruise then designs and builds a boat to fit the trip!
    Cool guy.
I’m reading his well written story of his trip south and across the ismuth without using the Panama Canal……
Now you know why the little cat is so small and light (550#)

Dylan, your blog as found me some really interesting sailors to follow, teleport, white spot pirate, and Tony B
    Thanks
    Warren

Dylan, first read your work in Small Craft Advisor and have finished reading all your blogs on this site. Nice Job. So while you were sailing in Scotland, I was sailing down the Columbia River in the USA, (1976 Ensenade 20, under restoration) then off to visit family in Yorkshire, lots of canal boat rides and a trip out of Whitby harbor, while in London met a nice bloke on a canal boat outside our holiday flat. Me and many more glad to call you “friend” Thanks for the insights now I know where to take the grand kids sailing in the UK on next holiday I will have to borrow a Centaur.
