Katie L is waiting

I came across this blog the other day

http://pedsoutdoordiary.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/last-sail-of-season.html

It was a simple little blog about a sail from Dunbar to Anstruther - just a hop across the Forth.

Ped had a walk around the Marina and spotted Katie - all tied up and waiting

and this is what he said

The little yacht (above) is the Katie L owned by Dylan Winter who has made many wonderful films of his odyssey around the British Isles. Take some winter evenings to look at his site at Keep Turning Left. Dylan is a professional film maker and this shows in the way his work is beautifully filmed and edited; yet he still captures his essentially amateurish, and very British, record of a circumnavigation of our little island by the simple plan...keep turning left.

it is great to see a snap of katie - wann go back to see her and stand in the companionway wtching the life of the harbour unflod around me as the tide returns

Yes, it’s so good just to sit in the cockpit, resting against the bulkhead with a cup of tea in hand, and watch the life of the harbour, feel the movement of the sea beneath the boat, watch the gulls and the sky, and just absorb and feel part of the atmosphere.

Hi Dylan, I wondered why my page views had gone through the roof for a sailing post! Katie L was looking safe and sound last week and Stuart will be over to check his boat, Seline, on Sat 19th and will check your lines if you want.

Can’t believe you’re in Scotland – we’d been watching the dvd’s and hadn’t been checking the blog. All of a sudden you’ve shot up the East Coast. Faster than a Virgin train!
