ktl vlog 127 – horrible hatch



 It took about six weeks to fix the engine mounts and it is easy to think job done - but the slug is an old boat and there is still lots to fix

    Unless the hatch is cracked or distorted or no longer catches properly you might consider just renewing the seal,especially if the exact pattern/size is discontinued.

    Is the seal still there, can’t tell positiveley from picture
    If you cannot get a replacement you can make 1 from “O” ring material, its available by the metre in a range of diameters so you can make custom “O” rings. Engineering supply factors stock it

    I am afraid the hatch has to go

    it is leaking around the seal and from the top – dripping onto the universal joint of the engine

    I have sourced a replacement for £15 plus postage

    so that is ordered

    I am amazed that the same hatch is still available
