after all the travails with the repair to this and the suspect impeller…..you just need to look at the water pumping out of the cooling vent at 3:35 to see all was well with the impeller…it’ didn’t need changing mate….even after starting it ‘dry’….experts eh????

as I understand it large quantities of black smoke after three minutes running might indicate head gasket

it is now in the boot of Als car

in the boot of mine is a four hp short shaft seagull

    started first pull this morning.

It spent the afternoon riding around the wash on the back of the boat while the beast did all the work

splashes from beasts un muffled back end meant that the seagull got spattered with water – given the proximity of outboard bracket to the exhaust

Decided to do a test run on the way back up river – seagull would not start.

will see if it decides to start when its dry

it did spend all afternoon in a wet place without the benefit of running itself

heat in a seagull cures many sins

    We shall see.

    meantime…. I have a plan B
