I vote for an old school Dylan Winter marina tour, long time since we had one, is it in the planning?

of course = this is a marina fullof classics – so many good boats – and there is a yard up the hill – some lovely hulls up there too

So glad you have the opportunity to explore the west country. The British Isles is so diverse and we can rely on you to show cyberspace just that! Frigging brilliant Dylan……..

but it will only be the west country in winter. To see it in summer will have to wait until I come past next time. The autumn colours are starting to appear now though – lovely

One of my favourite places. Have a great time exploring, some lovely coves, rivers, villages & pubs :-) Do pop into Restronguet Sailing Club, we’ve spent many happy times down there with the firefly. Great place, great people.

but surely a bit of delay will allow the excitement to build – it is an incredible place. Never seen anywhere like it.

how about this chaps – have look on their web cams and tell me which boats you like the look of and I will try to find out more

    the web cam is here

they are going to move the boat from her current position to a new one down the pontoon. If anyone spots she has been moved and where to that would be good

you can steer the web cam and save images

    https://www.mylor.com/webcams-2/webcam-east/

if you see something interesting right click on it, click save as and then email it to me at [email protected]

if you email them to me I will post them up here

    [email protected]

even better though is you put them somewhere on line and you can link to them here

Just notices one of the changing photos on your banner.
Looks like bricks until you see the tiny bilge keel sticking out and a couple of thru hull fittings. Must be a copper sheathed hull. Don’t see them very often!
The Hiscocks did that in Wanderer111

This from Warren. She could do with a lick of varnish – end of season condition. She looks a lovely shape though.

The double end in photo 4 looks interesting
    perhaps a 38′?
the double ended is interesting in that size yacht. wonder what the story is.
on a cheap drying mooring and no mast it looks like it may be waiting more fettling time.
. the deck looks ok from a distance…. hope its ok.

    Hi Dylan
Nice to meet you today and have a yarn. Not sure if I approve of you advertising the joys of Mylor, don’t want it to get too crowded. Anyway if there is anything I can do to help let me know, I’m just down the road in Mylor Bridge,
    Regards
    Niall

Dont forget to poke your head into Gaffers and Luggers yard in Mylor Bridge,, plenty of nice boats to look at there.

    Cheers N,

took her out today and everything works

first priority is to get some genoa cars that will work

the main is an ugly flat board – no topping lift

    no spinnaker halyard

    no burgee halyard

but all other systems seem to work

so, do you know a small man who likes going up masts in return for a bottle of whiskey

going up a mast would frighten me to death

    D

I would not go up if you
