The film is decent, but the book is far superior. It’s basically a thriller about a coastal cruise in a heavily tidal area that goes slightly awry. Sort of KTL for the turn of the century only with especially villainous MOBs. Very well written and amusing too.

Have you ever seen the German version, it was a tv series made into a movie ‘das ratsel Der sandbank’
Unfortunately it has no subtitles. But well filmed I think.
Done not have a young jenny Augtter though….
( there was no girl in the book…)

I tried to find out what happened to the boat they used in the English version it was designed for the movie by Lawrence Giles.
    Any ideas?
