I have just re-digitised and uploaded the films from the broads onto youtube.
It is astonishing how much I have forgotten. In all the excitement about the new boat and my expected freedom from the tyranny of the beast I had forgotten that when the beast is being good it is a fantastic little power unit
The noise is never really as annoying as an outboard which has you screaming with angst within ten minutes of it being on. the Noise of the beast can be tolerated for much, mush longer.
There is a sequence in this film of motoring up the Ant towards Barton Broad, the sound the beast makes as it goes under a bridge is always an accoustic treat.
I shall miss it.
The lady at the beginning of the film is wonderful.

Dylan, I do not understand, why are you taking the time converting the films and putting them on you tube? I thought you wanted subscribers and DVD sales. Does this mean that in future we will be unable to download the films on flowplayer?

There are also cows! made me snigger. Reminded me of a Latin teacher I once had. I translated Femina/ae as Lady… he told me not every woman I was going to meet would be a Lady…..
