Medway to Brightlingsea in a boat as slow as the ‘slug’ is good going with all the twists and turns. Its been years since i have done the trip and never with GPS but never alone either! Always nice to have someone to bounce ideas off. i was doing it in a 5’6″ keel so we had to follow the channels even more. i do remember sneaking across the ‘Mayingsea flats” i think to avoid having to take the swin spitway but with only 18″ under the keep I did have the crew of fellow school mates a little worried! Lovely seat of the pants sort of sailing and navigating.

Don’t know why you didn’t go into the Crouch by the back door via Havengore……….
