it was a great days sailing – lots of miles – tide with me all the way – for a while the slug was behaving like a real boat.

I’m watching these videos for the second time, this time in sequence instead of skipping around aimlessly. Man, you have pits! (as we say in my part of the world). A trip like yours would scare the bejeezus out out of me. Lovely shots of your spinnaker and really like the part where you’re shooting along at 7 knots. Its great to see England this way especially considering I’m across the Atlantic and the closest I’ve ever been to the Swale et al. is the west coast of Ireland! Someday I’ll get to see it in person ‘though.

It was, and still is, the best days passage of the journey – but going around North Foreland is great because its where the tides meet so you can cath the tide both ways – and the slug has never trevelled so fast. Seeing the Uk from the cockpuit of the slug hs been a real revelation to me. No regrets about starting this journey

Great Video, reminds me of a night we spent moored there at Harty Ferry, a great place for peace and quiet, with only the lapping water and birds to listen to,

    Thanks,

    Rob

    Dylan,

This was great… I had lost track of you on YouTube. I found you again and Joined today. You have done some nice enhancements adding more Google Earth and explainations…. I am looking forward to the rest of the videos.

    Regards,

    Jonathan

PS I am the guy who did the Joshua Slocum voyage on Google Earth….

Looking back Dylan, you did speed past some interesting places glad you now cover the creeks and rivers at a more leisurely pace. Nice to relive your adventure from the start though and note you have retained your enthusiasm despite some setbacks that would have finished off a lesser man!

    Dylan,
When I click on KTL 13 it says: “this film is unavailable” – is this temporary? Also, none of the films from the Solent to the Thames part of your journey appear on the list of films; a sad note for me wot grew up on the banks of the Swale. Is there another way to access these videos?
I’m loving your recent blogs, from Trump to ebikes to Fr Anthony.
