    lots of mad stuff about saints and the pollution from tin mines

    the mad saints are as real today as they were then

    but the tin mining pollution has gone and by now is probably detectable only as a thin layer in the mud

    something for the inhabitants of this planet to puzzle over in a few million/billion years hence

    I love seeing how it was and how it’s changed.
    The rate of pace of change I some areas is crazy in others it’s just the same as it was for hundreds of years.
    I hate it when they kill the docks with rows of town houses and the like so it can never go back.
    The USA is especially bad at doing that……mind you if I retired to one I guess I would probably like it!
    Hope I never have to!
