I have been spending the past few days getting Katie L ready for a small jaunt southwards. I am not sure how far but it is Wimbledon fortnight so Jill will not even notice that I have gone. I am still trying to row for two hours a day and am really enjoying the river
“Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.”
― Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows
I have been there a month ago.
I want to go back!
That board footbridge looks like it could be a challenge after an evening at the pub!
Beautiful!
I’m missing your films!
Sounds like you are having the ideal retirement D. Hope you will put a few bits of footage together of your little jaunt. I really miss your East Coast trailer sailering films especially from the Slug days..
Me too, the films about crawling along the East Coast with the Slug are the ones I miss the most!
Bloody hell Dylan. Please don’t worry us like that again. Don’t have to explain yourself , but please just chime in once in a while. It is your website after all.
Hi Dylan,
We were returning from our adventures in Dutch waters today & saw you out on KTL sailing from the mooring towards Waldringfield. I took some video of you, if you’d like me to send it to you. Sadly, the quality isn’t great because I took it with my phone on zoom, so it’s a bit pixalated & a bit shaky as it was blowing q hard but may be of interest. No worries if not. Here till Sun then parental duty / garden calls as been away for 3 weeks. S & C
But we want more!
Cheers Warren
Done it again! You’ve captured the simple charm & romance of it all.
is that top boat up at woodbridge over the river from eversons ? theres one that been there for a couple of seasons which nosedives whenever the tide is out.
