That’s more like it !
Man you were creaming along there, what a sail !, and you even went the long way round Shuna to Craobh….just because you could.
Loving the story..
PS: went just up the road to you a couple of days ago to MInsmere to see the Starling mumeration…..until you see one in the flesh as it were you can never get any idea what a spectacle it is both sight, and, sound overloaded..
and it’s free!
she was just surging on like that for about three hours – it was wonderful. Centaurs are excellent boats chaps.
Just when I needed a nice diversion, you posted this series. Excellent as always. I have friends who have owned the big brother to the centaur for over 20 years – an oceanlord 41. Big tough boat that they love.
Thanks. Making my way to Paypal…..
Great video, only comment is that the music volume is much greater than everything else so drowns out your talky bit especially in the last couple of minutes.I have been enjoying the ‘new’ format of a “Daily Dose of Dylan”
Looking forwards to the next instalment.
anyone else having probs – I can re-post and tweak it a bit.
I found it… an audio file had slipped at the end
Great Series Dylan,
We have got to keep you going and making films somehow….
Tapped a few litres of Diesel for the next boat! Just because I know how much you like motoring ;)
Hi Dylan.Yes, The talking is hard to hear when the music is on. And there is a black out (sound and picture) at 5:18 and a smaller sound-hole at 11:14 (funny – same distance from the ends). After that just minor things with the sound as I noticed it.Jacob
nailed it and now re-uploading
new version should be up by the morning as long as the connection holds.
Agreed, FX over VO a bit intrusive towards the end but did not , for me, take away the vibe of the piece…small audio/visual black out somewhere in the middle but again in keeping with the spirit of the vlog and didn’t;’t distract from the whole…
Yeah Believe me ,and I know, the final audio mix can be a bugger….you have to prepare the final mix for:
quality headphones, crap headphones, studio quality monitor speakers, PC speakers, crappy 2″ Tv speakers, laptop and tablet speakers the size of a baked bean , and everything else in between.
Thank God for my 60+ years…………I can’t tell the difference !!
All the best
missed your update by 20 secs….
Another lovely one Dylan. What is that lovely music, very haunting sI would like to find it totally agree about Croigh Haven, I felt the same and when I visited I had been through 5 days of sailing in the rain so any port in a storm… With beer and food. Thanks. Andy
perfect day – miriam stockley
Cool thanks Dylan. I have watched a few of your videos recently so I have flung you a few dollars, go buy yourself a pint. Wish it could be more.
Btw, a thought. I own a Rival 32 and run the Rival Facebook page. As it is the 50th anniversary of the first Rival this year a few Rivals are going to sail to Rockall and a few places in between. Crew places available, no cost apart from food and beer so not sure if that would be something you would fancy taking your camera along… Probably not, but just a thought.
What a contrast in sailing conditions in one day or 16 minutes! The piece between 3’23” and 4’30” to me captures the joy of sailing; to see land, people, buildings and ports from the sea.
As ever, your choice of music is superb.Who is the artist and their music?
Perfect day – miriam stockley
Thanks.Your choice of music really does capture the atmosphere.
