   I don’t know about any one else but I’m really enjoying this series of films, it reminds me of the early keep turning left days where a short film would pop up every few days; sometimes just showing day to day events totally unconnected to sailing and with the trials and tribulations that they bring. For me that held my interest as I was always wondering what was coming up next !

   With the regularity of the early films, visiting different locations along the coast and talking to the locals, (you have a knack of finding ‘characters’, remember the seagull man ?), and the variation of the coastline made it feel like you were on a journey. Lately for me, and however stunning the Scottish scenery is, I don’t get that feeling…there seemed to be too long between films, (for good reason), and the continuity got lost somehow.

   That’s just an observation and not in any way meant to be disparaging, and I know that you know that.

   Phew !!

   All that said….I’m still loving the films, but more of the short ones please.

   I don’t know if anyone else shares my thoughts?

   Hi Richard. Totally agree. I think that you are right in that there is a sense of the early ventures. I do hope that there is a future for this format when Dylan moves on to adventures new. Meanwhile I am hooked as it is almost the first thing I do of a morning to see where our intrepid travellers have got on their voyage the day before. Even the two day stop over in Tobermory due to the weather is just part of the whole venture, and makes for a very real sharing of the experience. And in this days episode Jon actually caught and landed a fish. I wonder, did J and D divide it equally when it came to eating it? Ted

   I agree too, probably because its easier to identify with these day-to-day movies. However in terms of funding the longer episodes are likely to trigger more taps. More taps = more sailing = good!

   I have to agree, loving these short films, we’re back on the journey with you the good the bad and the ugly day by day feels like KTL come back to life. Please don’t take the boat out in Glasgow!

   So to increase views you need to use every trick in the can without compromising the films. Like little cliffhangers.
   Also Most sailing you tubes films have a “last week on… ‘ to start and at the end ‘ next week on …’ these things work if they are not just repeats.
   The story line is a draw . Even if it’s a refit like the popular ‘ sail life’ there is a weekly story going on. ( and a cool accent!)
   Other traveling cruisers have weekly story to keep you coming back like ‘ Ran sailing & Wynns or Uma’ even being weeks/ months behind it works and make you go look for the videos. Even “old sea dog’ has a storyline but he try’s to be a little different and some of the best at sea footage.
   All these film makers ask for watchers to become subscribers and hit the bell for auto notifications of new video posting. kTL need to get subscribers to YouTube channel the auto notification works well.
   This current sequence needs to get some repeat utubers if you want any chance to monetize the film so KTL can keep going.
