Bloody Nora man – KB’s mega boat
Ok, Yes, I very much enjoyed watching the west coast of the Shetlands. We were in the Orkneys last year and loved the place. Now you have shown us that we need to schedule a trip a bit further north. Do not know if we will charter a boat while there, but it would be very nice to do so. My brother who lives with his English wife in London might be up for an adventure with us. He too is a sailor. We are visiting the Scillys with he and his wife Catherine in late May this year.
By the way, when we sail off the anchor or buoy we do so with the mainsail first and then unroll the jib once we get underway. But our rig is a fractional with just a 105% jib, I do not like overlapping headsails on a vessel our size. The jib is ever so much easier to handle, especially as I am even older than you, will be 69 in June when we are next over that way.
I think your lovely wife Jill must be a really keeper if she is game to wander around with you on a sailboat. Fortunately my dear Susan likes to sail too. Nothing is quite as nice as a wife who will go sailing with old guys like us.
You want snaps of my boat for your website??
OK, hopefully you will come visit here someday and go out for a daysail with us.
