Findhorn

It was raining and windy so we went by bus to Findhorn - it is an estuary which almost completely dries. It looks like a lovely place for a yacht visit if the weather behaves.

it is the home of the Findhorn Foundation - a small colony of houses built on the sand dunes - sustainable living - they export electricity to the grid, well build, efficient houses.

Loved the place - the blue one is for sail for £285,000 - blimey that is a lot of money for a blue shed

we got the bus to Elgin - which was £15 for the five of us - then we realised that the next bus to Findhorn was at 8.30 so we got a taxi. £20 for four of us.

After a few hours at Findhorn we called the Txi driver - Mt Pervaise - he is of pakistani descent and built up a chain of 38 shops - which he sold to the co-op - he was ready to retire at 38 but he got very bored so be bought a cab license and has been driving for 20 years - just for fun. He still charged us £25b for the trip back to Lossiemouth though.
