We left Portnochty and drifted on westwards along the coast. A fine morning sail but when we got to Cullen the weather took a turn for the worse. The clouds darkened and the wind shifted around on the nose - wind against tide and it all got a bit messy.
Down with the sails, up with the spray hood on with the Tohatsu and a three hour bash towards Lossiemouth with its perfect shelter, lekkie, web and lovely clean loos. An excellent place to hide from what the Lord had deigned to send our way.
We turned on the fan heater and dried out the damp interior of the boat, had showers and slept like logs. The next day, the Wednesday, we hitched the 30 miles back to Whitehills and picked up the car. Four lifts - a surgeaon in a jag, a teacher in ford focus, a full time dad in a transit van and an offshore crane mechanic in a hot hatch.
Back to Lossie in the car and a fabulous evening of strong winds and strong light.

Came down from Wick to Peterhead yesterday. Surfed all the way nearly. Wouldn’t have liked to be going the other way. Check out the vid when I upload it. http://tutak-ii.blogspot.co.uk/ Nice pie btw.
Yes, a very interesting pie but, pardon my ignorance, what is it? Looks like a cross between a quiche and a pork pie, possibly with a large piece of salmon in the middle? Outdated mutated rations from a nuclear submarine maybe?
Every picture you are in shows 1 very happy bunny well done keep squandering
Jill does not look unhappy with things either
The last pic shows the diet is definately working Mr W and the cuisine has certainly gone up a notch or two !
Terrific stills….the shots of the old tree stump and boardwalk definately have the “Athena” look….
are Athena still about? I haven’t been to the high street for years
Looks like the weather has taken a change at last, enjoy the long days
