KeepTurningLeft Season 6 part 5 Tetney and Bridlington

After almost a  year on the Humber system we eventually headed down the estuary for the last time, The river's notorious weather systems had a bit of parting shot for us. We then spent a sublimely peaceful a night aground on the sandy expanses of Tetney Harbour before heading North to Bridlington (chip capital of Britain) and onto Scarborough with the best sculpture of the journey so far.

Cheers Dylan…great Video! Bit weird, but can’t find this Video on Vimeo? Found you and your Broads Video but it’s saying that is the only Vid on there?

I am tinkering with the settings at the moment

Vimeo is a strange world to me

should I set them loose on the vimeo website or just some of them. If people watch the films here then they do not get distracted into looking at films of umbrella production in China or how to build a model ship. What do you think?

and with the current settings can you chaps find the full file

The vids on Vimeo are a little eclectic to say the least!

However, your Vimeo page does have the space to link back to KTL and the Paypal donation page. If that page of yours is populated with a good selection of vids then MOBs are going to be hanging around for a while. There is definitely less distraction on there than YT to tempt viewers away to watch epicboatfailsVII etc. It all sits nicely within genre.

Wow, watching this video on vimeo is like being there. Super sharp. No glitches. We have a dsl internet connection – that is a router – on the same land line as our old phone. We actually have really good connection speed.
We sent your bonus via that old way – in the mail. Hope you don’t mind us not using PayPal.

Great Video Dylan, passing the winter watching you sail (being a motor boating softie !) I have started re-watching your journey from the beginning now that we have eventually acquired a 40″ flat screen. Splendid way to pass the evenings. Keep up the good work.
    All the best

Right click etc. Can’t save more than the title Page? Runs brilliantly on laptop – no download option as far as I can see – registered etc. with Vimto but not easy if you don’t know it? What am I missing? Looks like I’m the only one who can’t figure it out!

sorry, I am confused too – as you can see by the way these films are going up. They should all have links now to Vimto (us MOB’s now have a special name for the video server)

jolly good – so are you downloading them and playing them from a memory stick or some other way?

OK found it now “download” in blue 8pt Arial – a couple of lines down. Had me worried for a bit there.

not so silly – the problem lies at my door – I added the link after you pointed out that it was not there

Downloading them onto the laptop & then hdmi cable to TV, don’t forget Dylan , I am a Luddite at heart. Friends are telling all sorts of fantastic ways I can do this, dongle this & Wireless that. KISS works for me. Currently I am doing battle with MS works & mail merge on the tower PC, trying to print Christmas card labels. So far the software is winning 3-0 and I am accruing a large pile of useless avery label sheets. I am off to see if my third reboot has succeeded where others have failed … . . .

    Cheers Dylan,
Downloaded film 4 and enjoyed it greatly. The missus would like to point out that she enjoys your films as much as I do.
It’s not just middle aged blokes then, so a bit more m/f in your comments and she will continue to watch.
Nice images of Newark, haven’t been there for a long time.
Will buy you a couple of beers/put some pounds into your camera fund at some point soon with the paypal link.
Film 5 taking 9 minutes to download … oh there it is.
    Off we go then,
    Andrew

    A maiden over.

    Hello Dylan,
the move to Vimeo shows your film at it’s best and since 27th February 2015 the Chromcast streaming dongle may be used to propel you to the big HD Telly.
I have attached photographic evidence to a separate e-mail. It shows why I was not allowed to watch daytime TV when it first came into the home.
The details of the Chromecast are on Google, how to plug it into an HDMI port on the TV and set up from an iPad or Android phone.
    costs £25-£30 from Amazon.
Vimeo is also better for us with slow internet connections, as the videos can download and then be watched by Chromecast complete….
whilst we work out how to pay you..
    thanks for the memories,
    chris

This is a photograph of you on my telly, Chromecast from an iPad.
The video can be paused for maximum embarrassment.
    Skype is also extremely cruel.
