KeepTurningLeft Season 1 film 1 Waking up aground in Brightlingsea Creek

Waking Up Aground

I was based in Brightlingsea which is an excellent place from which to explore the East Coast. Beware, a bloke moans about the cold.

  • Above is a low bandwidth version of the film - designed to look good on a phone.
  • If you wish to see most of the films in High Def on a decent screen then they will cost you $1. Two paypal clicks will get you the URL of the film.
  • If you buy the film it is yours in perpetuity, you can download it, give it to a friend or show it at a sailing club, you can chop it up into a new film, you can embed it in a sailing blog or forum or send the url of the page to a friend for him or her to enjoy it as a gift from you.  All KTL films cost the same – some are short and some are long. Most are about 12 mins.

$1 to download or stream in HD

However... as a freemans... here is a link to the page with the full film on it

Very well produced videos, but i would think that 99% of viewers watch YouTube on smart TV’s, looks like the versions in there are low res and if they are only online I have no way to watch them except on laptop.

Hi Dylan. I bought your DVD’s about 12 – 15 years ago and during this lockdown decided to revisit your adventures. I’m still yearning to trace some of your journeys, Im very envious of you.
A question for you, what make of yacht is Katie L? Is she a trailer sailer? I had a McGregor 19 for a few years and it was fun as a first boat but in hindsight not a very wise purchase.

    Regards

she is a hunter minstrel – 22 foot long. She is just about towable by the big passat I once owned. She is perfect for shallow sailing – although a bit small and cramped for the more rumbustuous parts of scotland…hence the hiatus while saving up for a tougher, drier boat.
