Ahhh… Dodmans Point, Gribble Head, Prawl Point…

Anyone who’s anyone who did the RYA Coastal Skipper circa late 90’s will know these names… and you’ve actually seen ’em… although I was told they were fictitious and not to use the map for navigation purposes…. so did you dream the whole thing, or did the RYA tell me fibs ?

    Rhetorical..

Just taking a breath here… I’m still amazed at the places you have been to in the last few years… OK , it’s a round Britain thing… but all the same… respect Sir !

here’s something I reflect on when I drop the hook for the night, and somehow sums up some of your evenings…

“There after supper lit by lantern light
Warm in the cabin I could lie secure
And hear against the polished sides at night
The lap lap lapping of the weedy Bure,
A whispering and watery Norfolk sound
Telling of all the moonlit reeds around.”

    (John Betjeman)

Just thought I might share that…
