    Nice – the punt really scoots along.

    Wells Bar – your scene of the rill cutting its way across ripple marks in the sand – could be an aerial view of the deserts of Nevada, the foot-wide rill a miles wide dry wash filled only every hundred years or so in a monsoon downpour. Many an hour as a grad student i looked at stereoscopic aerials like that mapping fault scarps.

    I’m impressed at your seamanship in finding your way along the back door path. So obvious from the Google Earth viewpoint, put so totally different two feet above sea level.
