I started looking seriously for a Centaur in November
By the end of Jan I was working hard on her
by the middle of March she was afloat and sailing
thanks to a string of MOB's came to visit, yak, drink tea, work and drop off surplus kit
bloody brilliant

Great video, thanks for this….
It’s 65 days til launch here in frozen Canada, the snow is thick on the ground and Toronto Harbour is frozen clear across. What a stupid bloody climate, might as well be in Scotland. Looking forward to more of Season 7!
How is Harmony, Dylan – has she sold yet?
Yes snow can be great fun. However I decided to celebrate my 60th by going skiing with most of my family. Wonderful first day on the slopes until on the final run my 26 yr old daughter had her first and only fall. Ruptured Anterior Crutiate Ligament. So Wife and daughter are repatriated whilst son and I then try to ski as 1 metre of snow is dropped on the Alps over 4 days making conditions very difficult! Normally skiing is wonderful but there are always exceptions just like sailing.

Sitting here, watched your film, and now I’m feeling guilty about all those jobs awaiting me on ‘Drift’. Thanks mate… At least I’ve stayed in the water all winter and had some great short trips amongst the seals and brent geese. You are going to miss Harmony so much. Being able to stand up in the mornings in the winter without freezing your xxxxx off is a real bonus.
All the best

Dylan, power to your blog and multicultural Britain. I’m gonna wait till I’m too old to paddle and if I survive get a yacht. Corribee still looks good to me but I’m a sucker for a neat transom. You don’t need to say where I’m going wrong. Keep turning left. MP
If I was as civilised as you I might get one of those. I had a Fantasie, basically a stretched Silhouette, till even that got expensive and I acquired a folding kayak This used to travel as checked-in baggage on the plane but no more.
Theres a lot to be said too for sit-on-top kayaks and it’s the boat of choice of a growing band of intrepid sea anglers. The nice thing about them is you don’t have to learn to roll. If it gets too hairy you just abandon ship. A dry suit and an EPIRB helps too of course.
Seriously, I’d get something like a Miller Fifer for my dotage if I could afford it but no prospect of that. Which is the name of the game I guess.
Hi Dylan,
Here is a site to give you memories of “LA” – How about starting a MOB fund to buy you a Drone Camera ? Pictures from the top of the mast without having to climb up it.

Amazing to stumble on Francis’s Robertsons Golly. It was a different time wasn’t it. Thought you handled that well… and moving on!
Thanks for that. I am just too incurios sometimes. I had no idea what Robertsons Golly was or the source of the image which I first saw in a pic of Clare Francis. Ahh sponsorship
