Wonderful D. Hope Jill didn’t encounter the Portugee!
any audio glitches there David?
Differential levels voiceover/music to video sound, all audible but no distortion – fine
Another lovely video Dylan, I have always loved this part of the world, and it was fantastic to sail round ‘The Turning Point’ in our own boat in 2015 ( we kept turning right ) – bloody cold though !RegardsRob
Great winter tonic.
Fantastic. Just Fantastic.
it is an amazing area – and being blessed with good weather was a real bonus.
I really want to have a look around Loch Laxford.
Beautiful as Always. Thanks!
Those hours of filming and editing have produced a lovely film. You have to go back for more.
What a truly stunning bit of coastline and countryside. Anchorage looked fabulous. Excellently put together video which gladdened my heart. Tapped.
Wonderful escape from a dull frosty day.I get the feeling the Pentland Firth and the prospect of Cape Wrath really unsettled you but once arround the area is stunning
It has been very misty and dank today – but warm – up around 10 degrees…. so I went out on the river in the dinghy for a row. No day is wasted if I spend some time on the water.
A wonderful piece of film making.
Thanks you for an early Christmas Present!
Beautiful footage with excellent commentary and soundscape plus interesting background information as usual.
Brown envelope in the post for services rendered.
as you know…. I will never be influenced by brown envelopes….
Another Corker Dylan!. Thank you
Another great film Dylan, thank you. Cheque in the post (white envelope). P.
A long time coming but well worth it, thanks Dylan once again for sharing the impossible dream with us
Thank you for this, back on track at last. Such a beautiful place and unspoilt, that is until one looks closer at the plastic and nylon discarded and polluting the land and the sea. Thank you for including this sad reality. David Attenborough will be proud of you. Cheque to follow.
It is a shame – I hope that the plastic pollution is a passing phase – on the bright side there is not much domestic rubbish. It is odd looking back to material I shot in the past. I like the idea that I am almost cutting the material which seems lamost fresh to me. I see stuff in the background I had completely forgotten.
Another excellent film Dylan, and what an antidote to the Christmas seasonal madness!. It really makes you look forward to the return of spring and summer. Now we’re past the equinox its plain sailing from now on!
What a gorgeous film. You use your wonderful skills as a cameraman and a yachtsman to produce something which is memorable and evocative.Happy Christmas.
Thanks J…. it is a stunning place that is for sure.
Wonderful film D. that is certainly a beautiful area!
Best wishes for a happy Christmas and new year to you Jill and your whole family.
tip of the iceberg – there is so much beauty there.
Beautiful film. Well done.
Bloody brilliant ! Well done Dylan long live KTL.
Just as we were all distracted (and impressed) by your Ebike diversion, we surely come to KTL for these stunning vistas and overlaid wry commentaries. A beautiful work Dylan. Hopefully the planets are aligning to get KTL back on the water – even with an Ebike strapped to the mast. All good wishes to you and Jill for the New Year.
I was measuring the decks of a fisher for the ebike – it will be ideal for exploring the islands
Two Ebikes. One for Jill and, if you get sorted in time, one for you ……!
Pure artistry, D! Great stuff, from stem to stern.
Great video, back to your best. Hopefully the money will start to flow again. Keep up the good work
It has been interesting – the guys who sail in shallow waters in small boats have told me that they feel that the films from Scotland did not speak to them. The coast and its challenges change with geography and latitude. Shetland in a Centaur is certainly different from poking around the Humber or the Broads for a year.
Yes but I enjoy your Scottish Films knowing that you filming it is the closest I’ll ever come to doing this in my lifetime. However the East Coast films are inspiring in that it shows me how I can do it. So speaking personally you cover all my interests. Well done
Great, great piece of work, Dylan. This is what you and KTL are all about ! Fiver sent via Paypal. Regular contributor returning to watch and appreciate your films
I think it is natural that you would drift in and out of such a long term project – heck I appear to have drifted out a bit. I think there has been a wonderful flowering of the genre and I am sure that we have all been seduced away by the fresh glories in the way of sailing content that youtube offers us. I sometimes feel that there is very little more that can be seen and told about being at anchor in the Caribbean by a nice beach.
I think that there are times in life or times of the year when you want to watch sailing films – who wants to sit indoors watching other people sail when it is nice weather outside? However, in the middle of a polar vortex things can look very different.

Thanks for all, Dylan. You’re a treasure. Have a happy new year 2018. All the best, Ed
Thank you, Dylan, for your wonderful blend of scenic delights, historical background, natural history and the serenity, for the most part, that it exudes. I do wonder how many years, if you are going to include all the ‘wrinkly parts’ of Scotland and Ireland, your project is going to take! Happy New Year to you. Martin G.
Dylan, Absolutely brilliant.I really enjoyed this. Thank you. As to your e-bike I met a man on the IOW riding something similar according to his story bike cost £700 now 3 years old heading towards a new battery £250 quid well worth the expense. Bike similar to Dutch modelbought Argos or Amazom. I guess you recieved my letter with cheque sorry about that but we have had trouble with violent hunting types down here. All best wishes Bryan T
I forgot to wish you a happy and productive 2018 yesterday.. Well, here it is..
