   The system works and I’ve just binge watched the lot and chipped in my $’s along the way. You’ll be pleased to know the captains of industry are still lieutenants in reality and Cabatach is still surviving well collecting whisky on her travels round Scotland. This year we made Talisker on Skye and played in that other canal working our way to Inverness and back. And by shear twist of fate I am wintering at Inverkip and Lily M is along the pontoon from me. Glad we had the opportunity to do the locks for three old blokes and to share whisky with you on Cabatach. Keep at it, Euan

   Hi Dylan, really enjoyed your two delivery trip videos ( in HD). Loved the umbrella, not sure how effective it was but probably provided psychological comfort. As en ex dinghy sailor/racer even when cruising I like sails to look good, your limp leech on the mainsail would drive me to distraction, however it got you there – brilliant trip very jealous.

   I too have a centaur with a flat roller reefed main which I hate. Do you have any tips as to adjustments to get the best out of it? I know you’ve mentioned before that you learned somewhat to live with it.

   it is all about the slot – you need to use the topping lift and outhaul to put some shape into the mainsail so that it follows the curve of the genoa – in one shot you can see Barry playing with his wind speed jobbie.

   I have also found that you can balance the helm by rolling away a little bit of genoa

   I am not as against the things as I was before I owned one – but my goodness it is an ugly sail

   Harmony had a lovely Crusader mainsail
