KeepTurningLeft Season 7 part 8 Keyhaven – just for completeness

On the way from The Beaulieu River  to Christchurch I nipped into Keyhaven.  I motored in and out - no sailing so it was hard to get a feeling for the place. An evening on a mooring there would be very nice

Not enough time so I include this just for completeness and for Vist My Harbour

Each of these films takes about three weeks to edit. I have 12 more films in the can before I run out of material. These films will cover the West Coast of Shetland including Scalloway, the rough nightime crossing of the Pentland Firth, down to Loch Eribol, around Cape Wrath which was a pussycat that day, down the North Minch to the Summer Isles, to the amazing Handa,Loch Drambuie, Salen, Tobermory, the sound of Mull, CorryVrekan, Craobh, through the Crinan canal and the Clyde to Glasgow - and a few more places along the way.

If I am to re-boot the series with a boat that can keep me, the camera gear and my clothes dry and warm I need to average £2K per film - or about a third of the money that the bikini sailors earn per Week. Thanks for considering helping that happen

This is about KTL 7 The Solent By Centaur, Sailing around Britain.

Hi D, don’t think it’s me as I went back to check, but I’m having problems watching the Vimeo films after KTL7 4&5, symptoms are they stutter, stop, sometimes out of focus.. had to watch Newtown on Youtube… this one I tried multiple ways including download all show the same.. even put them on pause to download a good buffer and same… just though I should let you know…. if no one else complains then maybe it is me! :)

you are the first to say so

however, MOBs are astonishingly keen to avoid criticising

    so

anyone else here find they are unplayable?

let me know and I will re-upload them

Jerky on chrome but fine on IE.Chrome uses 99% of compute power to play video whereas IE uses 56% on my ancient Toshiba

I downloaded all KTL 6+7 (and the rest for that matter) from Vimeo and played them from my HD to the TV. There are no problems at all. I guess reported problems must be connections, either local user or Vimeo servers. If all other fails try downloading before playing. I always do this as I hate interruptions.

    might I suggest downloading videolan

it is free, does a great job and is very lean on resources

the browers are trying to do all sorts of stuff in the background

    Hi Dylan

We often think as we watch your videos what fine Tv they would make.

And then we found someone who has made a film on Tv about old blokes saying along the coast. Unfortunately for 100 million English speakers world wide, it is in Welsh. But it has sub titles and the scenery is great. Brilliant boat too – an old Halcyon 27.
