Awful quiet in here – thanks for the Moray series – tapped.

Enjoyed that a lot, thanks D. I sent you something in the mail a few weeks ago and will “lick and stick” in again when I can.
the cunningly and wittily ammended currency is still blu-tacked to the wall above my desk – makes me laugh every time I see the word bubble from Churchill’s mouth
Dylan
PS Stephen sent me £5 notes with Churchill saying nice things about KTL which has now been going longer than the first and second world wars put together.
Wasn’t me, honest guv! I did send a graffiti-free bluey though — have Royal Mail failed us I wonder? I used the Genoa Lodge address here. There was also a book in the package.
Interesting your comments re Hopeman harbour, and looking quite empty. Gourdonstoun School used the harbour for their dinghies and dayboats (DYs). All the DYs now sold, and maybe the dinghies are tucked up for the closed season.
I think that the two 20 footers that you mention are the replacements for the old DYs. My guess.
Dyan, how do I pitch in without using a paypal account? prior times this option existed … but now there is only the option of ‘logging in’ or ‘sign up’ after I enter in a $ amount.
Dylan, I went to the ‘…/mob-funding’ page and that provided the pull-down menu with amount to contribute. That opened an invoice page that allows for paying without PayPal membership. I hope you are not loosing contributions from folks willing to help out but not able to find this ‘back door’ around PayPal’s seeming membership requirement.
You continue to make great interesting film/videos which I enjoy very much.
Are you still going for a fisher 25 or a bit more. I thought the Centaur with a heater might be suitable, my experience of the Fisher they seem a bit cramped. How about something with a drop plate a few interesting boats down here at Beaulieu, No knowledge of price but design gives food for thought,
Dylan,
It was me who sent you ‘The Churchill Fivers’.
I have emailed you copies that will hopefully inspire similar styled donations.
I kicked in $10, I can’t imagine no more KTL…..
I don’t know how long you’ve been helping me through the long, cold winters but I have some of the dads from the first seasons….. I do hope you keep up the series, it is inspiring. I have been doing my own KTL up here on Lake Superior having covered the Canadian shore from Sault Ste. Marie all the way to Thunder Bay. This coming summer we’ll continue down the north shore to Duluth MN and around to Bayfield Wisconsin, stopping in small coves and river mouths (though we explore the rivers with the dinghy, not the keelboat). Maybe I”ll try some videography this year.
Hi Dylan,
I was trying to chip in, but unfortunately there is always an error. It says that not all information is provided, when hitting the add to cart button.
best regards and fair winds
Michael
Many thanks, always enjoyable look forward to your west coast adventure.
Another great video, tapped.
Another great video! I miss a bit the music though.
I hope other films are going to follow!!
I tapped.
Much enjoyed again Dylan.
We deal with them by hiding inside with good scotch, craft ale and sailing vids….
Plus pouring over old cruising guides, magazines and charts planning next summer’s adventures….
KTL is a great help in our present travels, mind you it’s only -12 today, it was -40 mid-week with wind-chill below -55, you don’t go out in that, period.
For some bizarre reason I couldn’t watch your internet vids on my Samsung telly.. I had to watch on my I pad or have the unplugged version on YouTube
Either way Not good.
But….. I have now installed a ‘smart view’ app that links the pad to the Samsung..!
I can see , and hear, you on my big telly !!
It’s a joyous moment
I may weep..
Sent you a donation to the Cause! I enjoy your films and the mommentry, I also think your recording of their sounds is fantastic and far better than the ever age YouTube film. The west coast is amazing, I urge you to visit the Shiant Islands they are magical.
I hope you get the warmer boat and continue the good work, I love the Scottish history from an English perspective. :-) :-)
Ps I meant commentary..
Hi Dylan, Just watched this one, very enjoyable as usual so have sent a small tap. Had a little chuckle about the weather and some of the comments from our frozen north American cousins. I had a little weekend cruise planned to one of our islands off Perth. We’ve postponed because it’s going to be too hot (40c). Cheers Steve
Another masterpiece! I tapped, even though:
1. I hate Paypal with the burning passion of a million suns
2. I am currently staring all the list of things needed to get the Mac back in the water.
Where did you tow KTL to for this series?
Great job! I might see you on the east coast this summer!
I miss it some. Not to be creepy but I like your voice and the interesting narration. The water sounds are peaceful. Your choice of music has always been great so I do miss hearing things I have not discovered.

Dylan:
The PayPal button on this page doesn’t work. The PayPal buttons on your /mob-funding/ page work. Something on this pages HTML causing the problem.
Good morning,
Just watched the Moray 5 video and have really enjoyed this series. I realized as I watched that I hadn’t tapped in awhile so did so.
I must say that I really enjoy the voice over and music videos as I get a lot of very interesting information that I would otherwise would never know because I will never get a chance to sail in those regions.
We are currently in Mexico, not on the boat, and not missing the weather at home in Canada, but will be returning to Canad to our little farm for a bit and then to the west coast for a couple of months on our boat out there. Your videos really encourage this much older sailor to keep on keeping on. Thanks
PayPal worked for me.
