My sort of sailing in 2017

We have had some really strong winds recently but on Friday the Northerly finally let up and I was able to do some gentle sailing. It was still gusty so I just used the loose footed main and not the main gunter rig.

This is about Dylan Winter's Blog, Sailing around Britain.

    Looks like a Fisher 25 to me……..

      it is

Fisher 25s are the last boat for many old men. They buy them, lavish money on them, then get ill and the boat stands for a year or two

before they or their wives bite the bullet

so there are lots of tatty ones with good engines around

I would also consider one that was in good nick but needed a new engine

Wonderful, the magic is back. The light on the mud and water, with classics in profile, is what does it for me.
Reminds me of the early slug stuff in the same area.
    Thanks D

I am enjoying the Deben. The sailing changes with the geography. I think that the Solway Firth will be like suffolk to some degree. I expect that the 7th and 8th to last films will be of the firth of Forth,Moray Firth and the Tay in the Minstrel so those will include more shallow sailing.

Love it, love it, love it. After reading through the last lot of “Chis makes some interesting points” I got a bit depressed. This latest film is KTL and its what its all about.
