and this is about my mate Donald
Thanks Dylan. I guess you’ll get some stick from our US. “cousins” but I for one appreciate your tone in this moment of history.U.K. politics is a snorefest I know, but I’ll like to hear what you think the next 6 to 18 months could be like in your opinion. I see no reason you can’t give us some pearls of wisdom from the cockpit on this latest clusterfuck.I’m glad the world is 71% sea, it limits human breeding.
I’ve been with you since the beginning of KTL. You have made many of my non-sailing hours joyful and memorable. Over the years I’ve watched you crawl creeks; sometimes twisting and turning in directions you’d not planned. Sometimes I’d watch you run aground, but I always knew when the tide returned, you’d float off again, more or less, sailing in the right direction.
Dylan, all those years, and not once, did you publicly involve yourself in politics, local or otherwise.
Personally, I come to KTL, to get away from my woes, including the politics that might be impacting my life. I came to KTL to settle my mind. To watch the birds. The sea creatures, the marsh and shoreline. I come to watch through your eyes, your lens, that beautiful part of the world you’re traveling. I came as a voyeur to share your dream and your experience. To date, I have not been left wanting.
When I was a young man I was told there were two subjects you did not discuss if you wished to keep your friends: religion and politics. They are, in creek-crawler terms, creeks to nowhere.
Dylan, I’m not sure… yes I am…, I am sure, your transiting this creek is not, in the long run, a good idea. The tide here is not favorable; the depths are unknown and ground and obstacles uncharted, and you are now placing KTL at risk for no positive payout.
But, as they say, every man is the master of his ship, and only the skipper knows what’s right for him.
So, it’s your call. And I’ll stick with you for as long as I can.
Hey Kenneth,If Dylan’s take on Politics is not for you, you have untold other video’s he has provided – for free too I might add (but I am sure he’d not say no to the odd paypal tap) — for you to watch, for hours and hours on end with nary a mention of politics.I don’t know what is stranger – that the Americans could be dopey enough to elect the Orange Orangutan, or people like you who think they know best what a youtuber should and should not talk about on his own channel. You can always start you own channel and talk and video whatever you want – so go for it mate.
that is true…. there are plenty of vacuous breast based films for those who like their sailing films light and frothy. What amazes me is the number of people who seemed completely unaware of any politics in KTL…. clearly just skipping between boat snaps. I note that the world’s most successful sailing blog – La Vag – now has had her busters enlarged for the camera and the delectation of her avid followers.
running aground in uncharted waters where the tides run strong and hard is a KTL USP.
However, you are right…. this is a bit of a risk but as you know the project ran out of money otherwise I would be sailing in scotland. I could just post a series of films from the same river showing the same lovely views and lovely sunsets – but we would all get bored.
One bloke on youtube said he can’t see what the profit motive is for the trump stuff….. no profit motive just a desire to do my bit to encourage the odd thinking American to be more pro-active
I have had emails from blokes I have never heard from before saying that they will never tap in again. I probably know most of the tappers and I certainly know the regulars because there are not that many of them. On the other side I have had some liberals (American term) tapping in because of the Trump films. It turns out that thinking men are better tappers than than the alt:right.
So it is not a zero sum game. I will return to the KTL Season 8 films in the autumn but this being the Northern Hemisphere summer very few people tap in on the films because sailing real boats on real water is better than spending 45 minutes in front of the telly. As soon as the first autumn storms kick in and the Canadians start bringing their boats ashore I will start posting the proper films.
Great capture of that bit where the river becomes the sea. Agent Orange on the rampage in America has been something of a spectacle at times, talk about not being able to make it up. As for Bad Vlad, well, Russia was in bad shape when he came to power, and he has done well to recover it after the CCCP ran out of fuel. No one knows what price its cost to get that nation to what it is, but ask a lot of Russians and the future is bright, the future is Bad Vlad. As for fossil fuels, I’d rather be burning coal than watching every uk pit shut and every clean coal burning power station be converted to wood chip, that is mostly wood chip that used to be Rain Forests shipped in from most nations that have them. That is a disaster and should be an imprison-able offence, with a sentence of a life time of re planting all the trees cut down, or building solar panels. :)
Kenneth Butterly, fantastic post, you have spoken on my behalf.Dylan, now you have brought politics into KTL,when will it end?Brexit, May, Corbyn,?The EU, NATO, UN?North Korea, Zimbabwe?List is endless on a rough road to nowhere.
I have always enjoyed your occasional Politically-Lite unPC comments and long may you continue to make them.
But remember what happened to Bob Geldof, Lily Allen and Eddie Izzard.& Co.Would hate you to become one of them!
Dylan, you remain unconvincing. Your butt hurt over The Uncouth One calling the BBC fake news (the common thread in all four Donald videos) seems to have clouded your mind.
Your assertion that your experience gives you some kind of keen ability to detect lies and liars, and that your research on The Russian Connection has the depth to allow you to see through the “coincidences” megaphoned of the progressive left is laughable. The reasoning in your videos is faulty because your facts are limited and your “facts” are talking points.
I admit, you are an amusing man, and a proper discussion/debate about this subject with you would be an agreeable enterprise, but you seem to be ignoring my private emails to you on the subject in which I provide you with fodder for thought that blows holes in your conclusions, so I guess you’ll continue into your declining years (which seem to already have begun…jk) carrying your unsupported and daft conclusions with you. The fact that you have a core of support in the commenters here and on youtube doesn’t mean you are right, but simply means that many in the public, like you, are unable or unwilling to reason through complex issues.
Finally and significantly, you seem to avoid the point made to you on multiple occasions, that in the US general election, we had a choice of two…The Uncouth One or The Unfit One. That you don’t see that the Unfit One is a serial felon who serves only herself, and is the unrepentant architect of Death in Benghazi marks your arguments re Trump as unsupportable.
All the best…
good, but sometimes painful, to be aware of the opinion of others – someone said there is no one truth but that truth is increasing complexity – the more you look at and research something the more complex it becomes – I am brit who has been living in the states for the past 15 years and I do find the place increasingly hard to understand – but that may just be because I am getting older and am looking more closely
Another russian link you missed.. Wilbur Ross the US treasury secretary picked by Trump.
Mr Ackerman (a swiss banker by training) was head of Deutsche Bank before he got moved on in 2013 – nice link there to your other Russian link. Instead he was snapped up by Wilbur Ross who was a key investor in failing Bank of Cyprus. The whole economy of Cyprus was and is propped up by Russian money with opaque holding structures and ownership. The Russians took heavy losses in the EU banking crisis. The bank brought in John Hourican (ex RBS banker who incidentally resigned for LIBOR fixing to run the bank – he introduced Wilbur Ross). Bank of Cyprus holds much of that Russian money.
Wilbur Ross continues to have a shareholding in Bank of Cyprus – his shareholding is yet to turn a profit for him so either he is a bad investor (unlikely) or he had another motive for this loss making venture… quite interesting coincidence but no proof of wrongdoing (yet?)
This all so boring, Yes I totally agree with you about Trump but its not why we are here. This is about sailing and you seemed a run of the mill guy sailing the creeks on a budget. You’ve had a pop at the royal family yet live in a very nice village out of many peoples pocket. You want what many would consider a mini superyacht yet plead poverty and moan about the freeloaders (myself) after uploading to a free video hosting site ie You Tube.. Constant talk about highdef. cameras, more expense. I bet most of the m o b’s couldn’t care less.. Knowing how politically biased the bbc is none of this comes as a surprise really. The biggest danger too the world at the moment is the lack of respect for the voter. We fort long and hard for democracy and the right to vote and we need to remember that. The American people put Trump in so why as a socialist (everyone equal)? do you think you know better? Same with brexit, same with May.
Sorry but I come here to escape , not to be lectured too just because you are frustrated about Scotland.I’ve renamed the site in my favs. as www not ktl anymore. whinging wWnters of Waldringfield
Dylan, I can’t thank you enough for having the courage in the face of an onslought from the “Trumpers” to shut up and mind your own bussiness. Trump is as much a matter of bussiness for the UK as it is for us Americans and I for one am so proud of you for stating the facts and can only hope that some of these “Trumpers” will come to their senses and realize that he has the interest only of big bussiness and not the general public. Please ackowledge the great service you are doing as an outsider looking in and voicing an honest objective opinion on the dangers that someone like Trump will levy on not only the US but the world as a whole! Bravo Dylan, Bravo and thankyou for taking the time to tell it like it is!!!!PS… Nancy thanks you too!
thanks for that G….
I hope you have sent emails to your local politicians of whatever hue to pull their fingers out. If they sack Mueller….. that would be a very bad thing. Newt says they should get rid of him
Two lantern jawed straight dealers downed in public would be a step too far for most normal people I assume.
If he comes to England I will be there on the streets to jeer and wave rude plackards.
I will make sure Wilbur Ross sees me
So great are Trumps achievements that is not something I have ever done for any other American President before now – and here I am 61 years old.
They all like to meet Brenda.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VSZ4TGZtKU

Have you ever considered writing an ebook or guest authoring on other websites?I have a blog centered on the same information you discuss and would love to have you share some stories/information. I know myviewers would enjoy your work. If you are even remotelyinterested, feel free to shoot me an e mail.
I have the time now –
a second revenue stream would be great
does it pay anything?
Otherwise I might just as well do bar work.
Great delivery. Sound arguments. Keep up the great effort.
It is a good place to talk to you…. the overtaking dinghy you can see in the background obviously thought I was on the phone
Great video, Dylan!
Trump is the most pressing problem, not just for the US, but for the world. We need a group – global – effort to minimize his damage to the US and the world, and get back on course. Together, we’ll do it.
I loved the boats sailing in the light – almost non-existant – air behind you. Just shows, if you put your mind to it,…
