tempted… tempted… let me evaluate that word for a moment to see if it fits my emotions….

    …..

    nope

but only because of the engine…. they are bloody brilliant little boats – the cabin is amazing for an 18 footer

and the boats are as tough as old boots

For some reason, I imagine Mrs Doyle encouraging you in her own style. “Nope” is right unless you’re ever getting into collecting unused boats. But maybe it’ll still be around for you to haunt in 40+ years time, for a bit of fun, if they’re as tough as they say.

Wrong side of the pond, unfortunately. Liked the shots of you in the cabin, it looked great for the size.

Hi Connor, your boat is just a few away from mine. I will come and say hello if I see you working on her!

well done… this makes me very happy. The slug goes on to a new life. I wonder how many more it will have before it reaches its first decade. They are tough little boats and w3ho cares if it take a little longer to get places. I am currently using a 2.3 hp engine in the minstrel – a noisier thing you could not find. The slug on tick-over made barely more noise than the clock in the hall. The dyna start is a fightening thing. However, a 2hp short shaft shoves here along beautifully.
