Brilliant....

The Centaur Weekend has come on the market again

Early last week I was told about her by a bloke calling himself Stan.

Wednesday morning she was bought by a bloke calling himself Julian for some few hundreds less than £3,500

Wednesday night a bloke calling himself Bert (who shares a phone and a voice with Stan offered her to me for £3,500

this is the story

Its the first time I’ve seen a boat go UP in price when no-one buys it…

Maybe its reverse psychology: hopefully it gets to a price where people think there’s nothing wrong with it and then buy it. Any lower and they avoid it because there MUST be something wrong with it…

I must say that Tollesbury has lived up to its reputation for being an entertaining and most instructive place for a sailor to learn about life

Without prejudice… (as he’s a lawyer). No disrespect intended but how much is he prepared to pay you to take it off his hands?

Quite a small cockpit in the Pageant – barely enough room to stand after the well has gone in.

Tell George that when it hits 20 grand, I’ll fly over there in a flash and buy it!

aha – has he changed his name again…. I suspect he is now called Roderick or some such name. Actually is anyone feels like asking about the boat….

Doing a motor well in a Pageant and preserving most of the cockpit space is doable if you are willing to dedicate the aft lazerette area to that use and also move the rudder to a transom-hung version…ask me how I know these things…LOL!

so would a smaller engine – say a 10hp have fitted without moving the rudder?

    this is what rob did
