Seems a shame to scrap it when there are lots of competent groups who could make her sea worthy and use her in the way she was designed. Or sell her on and pay back the RNLI some of their funds.

I totally agree Julian. The Sea Scouts are across the river. The hull will be chopped and put in landfill I guess. Not very green, i hate to see things like this thrown away. Of course it may have problems having been grounded a few times.

The bigger problem with people like this is not the waste of a good boat or even the time spent by the coastguard and RNLI its the namby bubble brigade will now jump on the bandwagon and demand training, licensing and all the associated “we have to be safe” measures that will push the cost of owning and operating a boat even further out of the reach of normal people.
