Part 2 of the Walton Backwaters in Summer. I apologise for the delay in finishing this film..... it has been the most wonderful autumn for weather here..... there are days when I have to decide between going sailing and sitting at the desk..... the boat wins every time.
Please feel free to let me know if there are too many mistakes in this one - I can fix them and re-upload.
I now realise that this was an old version of the film - the final one was 38 mins - so I am re-uploading that one. You can either watch this or hold tight. Sorry chaps.
I plan to spend a few days in the Backwaters in January/Feb just to see how different it is.
If you would like to see the winter version of this film and watch me freezing my balls off in the name of art.....

At 31:38 in this version there is a line of ships hulls anchored off the point to the west of the mouth of walton channel. Are those a wave-break for the point of land? Mothball fleet?
This version seems to have fixed all the hiccups in the previous youtube version that was longer.

Really excellent video. Anybody able to spot the (boat) link between this one and the Wooten Creek video of about three years ago?
A real treat to come home from work and have my glass of rum with that nice and very peaceful sail D. What a place, and some of those shots were lovely – I am quite jealous of what you can do with a video camera… I’m also very jealous of how many beautiful boats there are around there, mostly modern mobo fishing boats here… Just faxed you a couple of bucks and will send a couple more when you post the winter version :-)
I think the red, yellow and blue outboard was prettier!
Have you thought of wing mirrors attached to the corners of the transom of the tender?
Another great offering sir. It’s always a pleasure to see another of your segments show up, mind you the other links you’ve been posting are enjoyable as well but they don’t match the original. I noticed the trailer that you attached to the youtube version (not sure if it’s on the version here) and it sounds like you may be looking to rap up this project. Should that be the case you have my sincere appreciation for all you have done and will stick with the site until as long as you keep it open. Will be tapping my token contribution to the errort. :) Best regards Ed B.
This must be the best video ever made of the Walton Backwaters.
Still hoping that you’ll get back to Scotland, of course. And Wales. Maybe even the Irish east coast..?
Its great Hans, but Dylan’s polished original films about the Walton Backwaters are just great. If you haven’t already, watch those films, starting about here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPvcVPHHnL0
