Waiheke Warren from NZ says “your films have a tangible value”

Hello Dylan,

You are correct and the splendid woman was amused.

Your films have a tangible value to me. Although at the moment I am struggling with the use of IT and would have found it easier to eventually buy one or more DVDs, the chap who paid the equivalent had the right idea and I hope to do likewise.

I am Ethnic British and a small boat sailor of the Maurice Griffith kind. Fifty years ago (Good grief!) I spent some time in England as a working (tax paid) overstayer and I did not see all the places I would have liked to.

I have recently bought an unloved local version of a Centaur and hope to have small adventures when it’s useable.

I live on Waiheke Island near Auckland in the Hauraki Gulf- located a bit like the Isle of Wight. Around the Gulf are a number of tidal creeks leading to small townships but now being overwhelmed by “progress”.

The Waiheke Boating Club (no Royal by Appointment) and haulout is on Causeway Rd. Ostend. There’s been a clear up since the 2010 Google pictures.

My best wishes to and your family.

WC

Tho’ much is lost, much abides.

Tho’ we are not now that strength

which in old days moved earth and heaven,

That which we are, we are.

One equal temper of heroic hearts

made weak by time and fate

But strong in will, to strive, to seek, to find

And not to yield.
