Takes me back Dylan….. I used to skipper Waveney No 1 ‘Tansy’ in The Three Rivers race. With the sail marking W 1 we used to get cheered on by cries of “come on the Women’s Institute’.

Hi Dylan What a great few shots of days on the boards My mother born in Norwich loved the rivers and boards in the early 1920’s I’m a river Thames sailing myself but Solent is just a wonderful area. I’m well aware of your comments but we all have to make what we will of space presented and winter across to the IOW for an evening with locals singing and playing good folk music a couple of beer with friends what the game is about no good winging about the cost you’ll never take it with you even dispatched to St Catherines deep

All good wishes Bryan T Difran 2 Beaulieu River
