KTL 15 – the silly women of Loch Carron and the Crowlins

A powerful Highland high had settled in. The most perfect sailing conditions prevailed. Calm nights and persistent gentle winds coming off the sea all afternoon.

We took the boat to the top of Loch Carron where we spent a night at anchor behind Slumbay. Then in a dead calm we dhitched a tidal ride to Strome - home of the Silly Women of Loch Carron. We sailed 20 odd mile to the Crowlin Islands - a paddlers paradise and finally off toward Plockton for a meal. Marvelous.
